scope:

apply to plastic.foamed plastic.thin film.fabric.coating.rubber etc,but building materials

 

the sample requirements:

length×width:125±5mm × 13.0±0.5mm the largest thickness can’t over 13mm

 

pretreatment:

① condition in environment of 23 ± 2℃ and humidity of 50 ± 5%rh for 48h

② condition in a 70 ℃ oven for 168h, then a calcium chloride desiccators for at least 4h to cool to room temperature.

 

test procedure:

flame height: 20±1 mm. apply the flame centrally to the middle point of the specimen bottom edge so that the top of the burner is 10 ±1 mm below the lower end of the specimen, and maintain it at that distance for 10 ±0.5 s. after the application for 10 ±0.5 s, immediately withdraw the burner at a rate of 300 mm/sec, to a distance at least 150 mm away from the specimen and measure the afterflame time t1. as soon as afterflaming of the specimen ceases, immediately place the burner again under the specimen for an additional 10 ±0.5 s. after that, immediately remove the burner at a rate of 300 mm/sec to a distance of at least 150 mm from the specimen and measure the afterflame time t2 and the afterglow time t3.

sample pretreatment:

remark: the specimens were only pretreated with ①.

 

test procedure:
